How Do You Irrigate Lawns Using Dripline?

While it’s technically possible to irrigate lawns with dripline, it’s not usually the most effective or practical method. Lawns and turf grasses require broad, even coverage across the surface — something that traditional sprinkler systems handle much more efficiently.

When Dripline Can Be Used for Lawns

If you’re determined to use dripline for a lawn or lucerne field, the only suitable product from Afriq Water is our Anti-Syphon Pressure Compensating (PC) dripline. This version is designed to prevent soil from being drawn into emitters when the system shuts off, making it suitable for sub-surface applications.

Installation: Can be buried just below the soil surface for turf applications.
Note: Always specify your intention to bury the dripline when ordering.

While this setup can work, it’s often costly, more complex to maintain, and not ideal for lawns where uniform surface coverage is essential.
