Afriq Drip Dripline Emitter Customisations Available

At Afriq Water, we don’t just make dripline — we manufacture it to suit your exact requirements. Whether you need a specific flow rate, emitter spacing, wall thickness, or emitter type, our Afriq Drip range can be fully customised for your irrigation design.

“Your field, your flow rate, your spacing — Afriq Drip is made for South African conditions and customised to your needs.”

Flow Rate Options

Our locally manufactured Afriq Drip dripline is available in a full range of emitter flow rates for both Non-Pressure Compensating (Non-PC) and Pressure Compensating (PC) models:

  • 12 mm & 16 mm Non-PC: 0.8, 1.3, 1.6, 2.0, 3.8 L/h
  • 16 mm PC: 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.4, 3.8 L/h
Note: The 1.0 L/h Non-PC option is available only while stocks last. PC dripline options from 2.4 L/h upward may require longer lead times.

Emitter Spacing Options

Emitter spacing determines how far apart emitters are placed along the dripline — and directly affects water distribution and efficiency. Afriq Water manufactures emitter spacings in a wide range of configurations to suit different crops and soil types:

  • Available Spacings: 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 75, 90, 100, 120 cm
  • Special Spacing: “Blanco” dripline (unpunched) available on 0.90 mm and 1.00 mm walls for customised punching.
Afriq Water Tip: For mixed-crop vegetable fields, 30 cm spacing is the most versatile and widely used configuration — balancing flow, coverage, and cost efficiency.

Pressure Compensating Emitter Types Available

Our emitters are designed for precision and reliability, with options to suit every field type and irrigation condition:

  • Anti-Syphon: Prevents soil or dirt from being sucked back into emitters when the system stops running. Perfect for sub-surface or buried applications.
  • Drain: Standard emitter type that allows the line to empty after each irrigation cycle — reducing algae growth in humid climates.
  • Non-Drain: Keeps the line full between cycles, improving response time for automated systems (available on order).
Pressure Compensating (PC) Options: All 0.40 mm and thicker walls can be manufactured as PC dripline for even flow rates on uneven or sloped terrain.

Wall Thickness and Roll Length Options

Afriq Water produces dripline across a complete range of wall thicknesses to match your project’s durability and pressure needs:

  • 0.15 mm — 2 500 m Roll
  • 0.20 mm — 2 000 m Roll
  • 0.30 mm — 1 250 m Roll
  • 0.40 mm — 1 000 m Roll
  • 0.60 mm — 700 m Roll
  • 0.90 mm — 500 m Roll
  • 1.00 mm — 400 m Roll

All thicknesses are locally extruded, with tight tolerances for uniform wall strength and emitter bonding. Pressure Compensating options are available from 0.40 mm upwards.

Choosing Your Configuration

Afriq Water’s in-house manufacturing means you can specify your wall thickness, emitter flow rate, spacing, and type — all in one system designed for your crops and soil type.

  • Flat, even terrain: Non-PC dripline.
  • Sloped or uneven terrain: PC dripline.
  • Lime-affected water: Thin-wall disposable dripline (0.15–0.20 mm).
  • Permanent systems: Heavy-duty 0.90–1.00 mm dripline with PC emitters.
“From flow rate to spacing and emitter type — every Afriq Drip roll is manufactured to your field’s exact needs.”
