Our story

Wynand Ueckermann grew up on a farm, carrying around heavy, galvanised metal pipes every morning and evening. He always hoped for a better solution; something effective, easy, and reliable.

Years later, on a trip through the Turkish countryside with his wife, Helana, they stared in awe at the green, rolling hills. And among them, bright orange fittings. He was surprised to find he could lift one of the black irrigation pipes with ease and even carry an entire line over his shoulder. These plastic pipes were lightweight, strong and affordable. And they solved the same problem South African farmers were still facing: heavy, inefficient irrigation systems.

He came home with a suitcase full of these bright orange plastic wonders, his clothes left behind at the Istanbul airport, and a dream. To introduce farmers in S.A. to the wonders of these pipes.

Ten years later, those same pipes are found all over Southern Africa, now a favourite among farmers.

Since then, we’ve expanded. We now manufacture our own Quick Coupling HDPE Sprinkler pipes, our own PC and Non-PC dripline, even our own fittings. We’re the first in S.A. to supply rain hose irrigation.

We’re all involved. Our parents, Wynand and Helana, still run the show. Their son Karl runs the factory. Justine helps farmers find affordable irrigation solutions. Charne (that’s me!) create all the pretty catalogues and informative content.

We’re proud to be doing this together, and even more proud to help farmers grow.
